In February 2014, The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee addressed the Conference of Vice Chancellors of Central Universities (CUs) at Rashtrapati Bhavan. In this conference the president advised MHRD, UGC and the CUs to sit together and take action to improve the governance system and structures. When we interacted with him and Dr. Sadyojatha.K.M. (Professor & Alumni Co-ordinator, BITM), we learnt that the institution has been putting in genuine efforts in managing their alumni relations but is crippled by the lack of tools for proper communication, streamlined management and flow of data.
